What’s New in Highlight Plus 2?

Highlight Plus 2 takes the previous version to another level following our users’ suggestions and expectations, and it comes with the following additions and improvements:

• New Label Effect: Display a text next to the highlighted object.

• Outline:

  • Stylized effect: Toon/charcoal style option in highest quality mode.
  • Dashed: An effect that cuts the outline to create a dashed outline effect.
  • Gradient: Ability to create two outlines, each with custom colors.

• Outer Glow: Added “High Precision” option to improve the outer glow effect.

• Inner Glow: Added power property.

• Icon: New option to use a prefab game object instead of predefined mesh.

• Target: New “Style” option that includes Texture, Frame, Inward Corners and Cross options.

• Target: Added Minimum Opacity option.

• Target: Align to ground, added Ground Min Altitude to support transparent objects.

• Overlay: Added pattern option that includes polkadots, grid, lines and zigzag.

• Hit Effects: Added trigger mode option (scripting/when highlighted).

• Improved padding option.

• Smoother outer glow.

• Added “Highlight Root” component. Can be used to specify a different root in the hierarchy when Root To Children is used.

• Highlight Trigger & Highlight Manager: added “Unhighlight On UI” option under “Respect UI”.

• Render Feature: added option to show/hide effects in Scene View

Plus tons of internal improvements and optimizations. Highlight Plus 2 sets the base for future additions and improvements while current Highlight Plus enter maintenance mode (expect only minor fixes).
