Performance Tips

  • Use the Sample Count dropdown to quickly configure Sample Count and Binary Search Steps based on quality level recommendations; customize these values to match your performance requirements,
  • Keep Sample Count as low as possible while achieving desired visual results,
  • When using jitter, keep sample count lower as wide jitter radius breaks GPU cache locality and impacts performance. Jitter is TAA friendly so it allows to smooth our results when temporal antialiasing is enabled on the camera.,
  • Set Max Blend Distance to prevent wasting resources on blending distant, tiny pixels,
  • Reduce Early Exit Hits for faster edge detection (lower values improve performance, especially with jitter; default value of 5 is usually sufficient),
  • Configure Blend Layers carefully—only include objects whose edges can blend; exclude transparent, FX, and GUI objects (default “Everything” should be customized to “Default” or specific blendable layers),
  • Disable jitter if performance is critical and temporal smoothing is not needed
