Can I control which objects are affected by the effect?
Yes. You can use blend layers to define which objects participate in the fusion effect. Additionally, by adding the Edge Fusion Object component to individual GameObjects, you can fine-tune or exclude them from blending altogether.
Does Edge Fusion impact performance?
Performance depends on the quality preset and sample count you choose. The asset includes multiple performance options and quality levels (Very Low to Ultra), allowing you to optimize for different targets as needed.

My terrain seems to not blend with other objects
Terrains rendered with Draw Instanced option are not supported. We recommend excluding them from the Blend Layers option in Edge Fusion inspector. Once you do this, the objects should blend correctly with the terrain. This will even improve performance vs rendering the terrain. This workaround works because when you exclude some layers, Edge Fusion will fill the empty pixels of the object id mask with a reconstruction from the camera depth texture capturing the rendered terrain with instancing.
