URP No flask - liquid mesh outline visibl
« on: November 11, 2021, 01:07:32 PM »
Hi,

I've moved to URP version and working with DefaultNoFlask. The liquid displays okay but it also shows the outline/transparent render of the whole liquid mesh.
Screenshot is here
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QdqaCZrYDD7dLMqDlWHQejIAVgJXjhxB/view?usp=sharing

In the sample you can see even with the liquid at alpha 0, the whole mesh is still showing as semi transparent grey.
This was also visible when playing the project in the editor and was also tested in VR - PC and Quest 2 with the same behaviour.
In the built in Liquid Volume version this does not show. Just wondering if it is also possible to have the no flask fully transparent in the URP version.

Tested in a new project
Unity 2021.2
URP 12.1

Thanks for any help regarding this.

Fixed in latest version (4.0.2) which should land on the Asset Store in a few minutes.

Thanks very much for the prompt update. On further testing there's a couple of other things

- Even though transparent, the liquid mesh still is getting reflections/specular, and also affects the performance quite a bit. Glossiness is set to zero.
Please see video here of liquid mesh on the left.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1p535ym5USduPd3hCDlJd3K2B-0-No34F/view?usp=sharing

- When looking at liquid from above, it doesn't look correct. From the side is ok and from the bottom. See middle example in the video.

- When using irregular topology setting, there is clipping of the liquid at a certain distance and the level looks full when viewing from above. Please see right example in the video.

Hope this info helps and thanks again for any assistance.
