unity 2020.3.14 URP 10.5.1 not working

Hello,

I have setup the project with the appropriate settings following the video tutorial.

When hovering/clicking on the demo scenes the spheres do not highlight.

My environment is windows 10, unity 2020.3.14, URP 20.5.1

I also have the new input system implemented in unity but have the both option on.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Anthony,

Select the gold sphere and look into the Highlight Effect inspector. Do you see any warning message there related to URP render feature setup?

Yes I see the warning but I do have the render pipeline settings included with the asset setup.

Check the URP assets in the Project Settings / Quality as well.

Oh there it is. Changing the quality settings under Rendering to the included fixed it.

I was about to contact support because i had this same problem after following the youtube link "Highlight Plus URP setup"
Then i saw this, and now it works. Maybe it would be nice to include this in your youtube video, or to mention this in the readme.
For people in the future with the same "problem"

I feel a bit dumb now because I have the same problem but the things mentioned here didn't help. I have the same warning message as in the picture above and I did the steps in the "Highlight Plus URP setup" video but still no highlights. In Project Settings> Graphics I have UniversalRenderPipelineAsset in Scriptable Render Pipeline Settings and in Universal Render Pipeline Asset I have HighlightPlusForwardRenderer in General> Renderer List just like in the video but when I click HighlightPlusForwardRenderer open my view looks a bit different. I have Unity 2020.1.4f1

Check the Project Settings / Quality section since you can also have different URP assets there (one per each quality level). Just double click on all the Forward Renderers assigned in those assets and make sure the Highlight Plus render feature is present.

Itís certainly a bit confusing and not very well documented on Unityís side.
The Project Settings / Quality section let you set a specific URP asset per quality level but if you do my do that, the system will use the URP asset assigned into Project Settings / Quality (as if it was a default URP asset).
