Feature Request: POI rotation tracking
« on: April 04, 2021, 01:34:49 AM »

I think that it would be interesting to have a feature for the minimap to track rotation on POIs. This way, a POI which rotates with a character (i.e. enemies) could be represented as an arrow icon in the minimap showing where the character is looking at. While this option is available for the player, it is not available for other game objects.

In my game, the minimap is showing enemies as icons. I have all my enemies in a given layer with POIs attached to them assigned to a different layer. In the minimap settings I choose to show the POI layer only. My game is a first person dungeon crawler in which the direction in which an enemy is looking at is interesting to elaborate a tactic to attack him (see image). The enemy is currently rendered in the minimap as a red square.

Thank you and best regards.

We added this option to latest beta.
Just enable the "MiniMap Show Rotation" option in the Compass POI and the icon will reflect the current gameobject rotation.

Let us know what do you think!
