Mini Map FPS

Hello.  It seems every time I add this to my scene, I take a huge FPS loss once adding it.  Any ideas?  I am normally getting about 180fps and once I add this, I get about 90

Hello,

The Compass' MiniMap feature uses a secondary camera to capture the world map as the player moves around.

There're a few options that you can use to reduce the performance impact of having another camera:

- Snapshot Frequency: this dropdown specifies if world map should be capture every frame, every x seconds or when player moves certain distance. Capturing the world map every frame can be expensive so try the other options.
- Layer Mask: this mask let you filter what's being captured by the world map. Usually you will want to include just the terrain and other static elements like buildings, roads, rocks, etc. But not characters or other particle effects for example.
