HighlightSeeThroughOccluder not working

Hello,

We have several gameobjects with the Outline effect visibile "Only When Occluded".

Adding HighlightSeeThroughOccluder to a gameobject to avoid showing the outline doesn't seem to work, neither with "Stencil" nor with "Ray Cast".

Did we configure it wrong?

That's expected. The See-Through Occluder cancels the See-Through effect, not the outline nor glow.

Instead of Outline, you could use the "Border When Hidden" option of the See-Through effect which adds an outline but only when object is hidden.

I can't seem to find the "Border When Hidden" in the See Through effect, is there some kind of requirement?

This is an option that currently is only available in the built-in pipeline version. We plan to add it to the URP version as well soon.
