Maximum Zoom?
« on: October 16, 2020, 05:04:12 AM »
Looking at the demo for World Map Globe Edition 2, the maximum zoom is limited somewhere and I'm sure where that is.  I have Allow User Zoom - > Distance Max set to 300, but it doesn't seem to make difference.

For my application, I really need to be able to zoom quite close.

Hi,

The Distance Min / Max are the minimum and maximum allowed distance from camera to globe surface. Distance Max is the maximum distance you can get far away. Set Distance Min to 0 to allow the camera to get as nearer as possible to the globe surface.

Now, if you're using a tile system mode and needs to get nearer to the surfafce, just increase the globe scale. For GIS applications, a globe scale of 5000 or more would be required in order to get to street level zoom.
