Shiny SSRR / Use smoothness with metallic workflow

I have started playing with Shiny today and I noticed that if i use the standard Unity metallic workflow the use smoothness map option doesn't work. Switching to spec/smooth and exporting for that works fine.

Is it intended to only work with a spec/smooth shader or should it be reading the smoothness from a metal/rough shader as well ? (i.e reading the inverted roughness map)
